Cover reveal: Tales of Lunis Aquaria by Tessa Hastjarjanto

Tales of Lunis Aquaria

Let’s talk about some exciting things that are happening soon. Like the release of my first book! It’s called Tales of Lunis Aquaria and it’s a collection of short stories all set in the same world. I started working on these stories many years ago, while the world itself and the major series that’s coming later, has been in development since I was fifteen. Now, fifteen years later, the first book is coming out.

I have been working hard the past weeks to create the best book possible within our budget. Self-publishing isn’t cheap. There were expenses I hadn’t expected, some of which weren’t necessary, but made the whole process so much easier. This is the first time I’ve going through the whole publishing process and I’ve learned a lot. Publishing the next book will be easier.

It’s so exciting when a project you’ve worked on for years is finally coming together and you can reveal it to the world. Thank you for supporting me throughout the years!

And here is the gorgeous cover

Summary

The balance is tipping. Something shifts in the world of Lunis Aquaria. Menacing creatures, daunting deserts, and treacherous mountains. Hardships and solace, friendships and love. Read the stories of what went on before the world is lost in disparity and meet the heroes who will one day restore harmony.

Tales of Lunis Aquaria is a collection of nine short stories set in the fantastical world of Lunis Aquaria.

The coming of beasts ~ The sacred maiden ~ Moonflower ~ Thomas and the wolf ~ The witch from Monterra Mountain ~ Shepherd’s Stick ~ Archipelago of wonder ~ Decapod’s ire ~ Lovers across time

Tales of Lunis Aquaria

The five beasts feature in the first story and it’s an introduction to the world. As you read them, you’ll notice that some of them are open-ended. I plan on writing novels about these characters in a series. If you enjoy one particular story, let me know via Twitter or mail. I can give priority to those stories that are fan favourites. That’s one of the plus sides of self publishing.

An unedited version of ‘The Sacred Maiden’ is available to read right now and I’m creating a newsletter specifically for any information regarding my books. You’ll receive another short story set in the same universe once you sign up (link coming soon).

My sister, Emma Hastjarjanto, has drawn the cover. She works as an illustrator and does animations, and her style suited with what I wanted for these stories. Check out her Instagram if you liked the cover.

The official release date is April 18, so less than a month away. Preorders for the book on Amazon, Kobo and Smashwords are live. Buy it now and be among the first to read it.
